How to Change Folder Icons Mac

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR DESKTOP FOLDER ICONS

Step 1. Find the icon you want to use First things first, you need to find the icon you want to use. You can either purchase your folder icons from an online creator or create your own using graphic design software. 

Step 2. Copy the icon image Once you have your desired icon, copy the image by selecting it and pressing "command + C" or by right-clicking on it and selecting "Copy" 

Step 3. Select the folder you want to customize Now it's time to choose the folder you want to customize. Simply click on the folder you want to change the icon for on your desktop.

Step 4. Get info on the folder To change the icon, you need to get info on the folder. You can do this by right-clicking on the folder and selecting "Get Info" or by selecting the folder and pressing "command + I".

Step 5. Paste the new icon With the "Get Info" window open, you should see the current icon of the folder in the top left corner. Click on the icon and it will become highlighted. Then, simply press "command + V" to paste the new icon.

Step 6. Enjoy your new folder icon And that's it! Your folder icon should now be replaced with your chosen image. You can repeat these steps for as many folders as you want to customize.
